Offshore Contract Manufacturing allowed CMI to developed three distinct business offerings, all of which blend the business’ China Manufacturing expertise with its ability to offer a superior service. Element I. Identification, Negotiation, Analysis and Initial Audits
China Manufacturing from CMI offers its clients the worry-free ability to evaluate products that could shift to Asian Product Sourcing, allowing the U.S. capacity to compete with more profitable work. Put simply, this means the customer has the ability to drop ship products from Asia to their U.S. facility. The CMI team will work with the client to obtain and review the information necessary to migrate product offshore. This information includes such items as product lists, critical dimensions, drawings, samples, proprietary manufacturing processes, material identification, packaging, delivery, inventory, etc.
China Manufacturing Facilities are identified by CMI’s offshore staff to match the client’s requirements, falling into several categories, each with specific sub-categories. These are identified by manufacturers of either identical product types or similar product types and further categorized by Tier Levels as follows:
• Tier 1: Larger (500+ employees), full state-of-the-art software and equipment, with additional capacity machinery, manufacturing facilities incorporating in a lean or agile format, including extensive embedded western-style engineering and QA, utilizing low to moderate labor quotients. These Contract Manufacturing Services offer Asian Product Sourcing for Industrial Product Design, Die Casting, Precision CNC Machining and Screw Machine Parts following TS16949 Quality Standards. • Tier 2: Midsized (250-499 employees), full state-of-the-art software and equipment, with additional capacity machinery, manufacturing facilities incorporating cellular-styled manufacturing, including moderate embedded western-style engineering and QA, utilizing moderate to higher labor quotients. These Contract Manufacturing Services offer Asian Product Sourcing for Industrial Product Design, Die Casting, Precision CNC Machining and Screw Machine Parts following TS16949 Quality Standards.

• Tier 3: Small (75-249 employees), partial computer aided manufacturing facilities, incorporating multiple styles of manufacturing, including limited embedded western-style engineering and QA, augmented by outsourced resources supporting engineering and QA, utilizing high labor quotients.
